bind finds external names but not local

Your SOA record is missing a field:

@ IN SOA ls1.im. (
   1
   10800
   3600
   604800
   600
   )

It should be something like:

@ IN SOA ls1.im. hostmaster.ls1.im. (
   1
   10800
   3600
   604800
   600
   )

Unless you have logging disabled, I'll wager any amount that your log 
file contains an error message for the invalid SOA record.
