Hi

I setup my Bind DNS Server and it seems t o work except the Reverse lookup!

My IP is 65.119.31.XX and subnet is 255.255.255.224.  My network prefix is
65.119.31.32 and usable IP is from .33 to .62. My subnet is .32 and
broadcast address is .62.

Based on the IP that I have, how should I define my Reverse lookup file.
Should my Reverse file be 65.119.31.33-64 ?? And the definition as follows
in the Reverse file :

$TTL  43200
@           IN    SOA   ns1.sceptre.com.  hostmaster.ns1.sceptre.com. (
                  2002050302 ; serial
                  1H ; refresh
                  15 ; retry
                  14D ; expire
                  12H ; default_ttl
                  )
@           IN    NS    ns1.sceptre.com.
57          IN    PTR   ns1.sceptre.com.
42          IN    PTR   www.sceptre.com.

When I do a reverse ping, it does not resolve the name to the IP? A forward
ping seems o.k. Anything that I am missing in my reverse file? Should I use
XX.31.119 for the PTR? I am confused! Hope someone can give me some
pointers!

Any help is much appreciated! Have a nice day! Email me if you have any
questions!

Thanks.

SL
