	Have you turned off TCP access to port 53?  This is required if 
you want to do zone transfers.

	Otherwise, show us some log output, or an example of running the 
named-xfer process underneath truss, strace, or ktrace, so that we 
can see what system calls it is making and try to figure out what's 
going wrong.


	You may also want to ask your question on a mailing list or 
USENET newsgroup that is related to your OS.
