We use a config recipe that looks like:

if exists agent.circuit-id
{
        log ( info, concat(
                "---- Lease for IP=", binary-to-ascii (10, 8, ".", leased-address),
                " Remote-ID=", (option agent.remote-id),
                " Circuit-ID=", (option agent.circuit-id),
        ));
}

As DJ pointed out, this necessitates that your relay is including option 82 information in the first place. With the "if exists" tag, the information will only be logged if that's true.

Hi there,
    As I noticed that the dhcpd only gives out the IP address assigned to certain MAC address in the log file, is it possible for the dhcp server gives out more detailed log information? If we can get the option 82 information in the log file, it will be great and in fact necessary for we need that information in case we need to trace the customer from the log.

Best,

Wei Wei
