ISC DHCP on Virtual Machines

Dear all,

Let suppose multiple DHCP servers running in failover pairs,
Considering putting  them on Virtual Machines (VMWARE) in order to spare physical servers:

-       Is it technically possible ?

-       Is it a good conceptual choice ?
