Aug 4 00:00:21 dh1 dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.1.18 (192.168.2.12) from
00:07:7d:12:f9:23 via 192.168.1.254

Looking at the DHCPREQUEST it appears that it may already have a IP address
of 192.168.2.12 which would be from another subnet. Do you know what device
this IP address is referring to? I believe the "bce0" is the interface name
of the device requesting the IP address. Perhaps this device has two nic
cards?
