DHCPv6 failover protocol?

It is not always about the clients themselves, however, they are of  
primary importance.  As I mentioned in an earlier reply there are  
other applications in most deployments that interact with DHCP  
servers.  This will be no different, at least in the near term, with  
IPv6.
