Question about URL being logged by resolver

People accidentally enter urls as domain names into tools.  https://app-measurement.com/sdk-exp/A is
a legal, but unusual, domain name consisting of 3 labels 'https://app-measurement’, 'com/sdk-exp/A’ and ‘.’.
