In the log you posted, there is no:

Jul 15 15:57:45 ns2014342 named[25929]: zone cardiffusion.com/IN: loaded serial NNNN

(which would indicate a successful loading)

or a similar message for a failed login.

(You can 'grep cardiffusion.com $LOGFILE' to check.)

So, there is one sure thing: the named.conf you post is not the one used by BIND.

Time to use strings and strace...
