No, the binary compatibility on Solaris only is upwards, so you can  
compile on 8 and deploy it on 10. I would however compile and create  
a package for each Solaris version.

You can copy binaries around, however best would be to use Sun  
packages for your software and distribute that. A small guide on  
creating solaris packages can be found at:
