Nominum has a white paper on the testing of caching nameservers
at <http://www.nominum.com/content/documents/CNS_WP.pdf>. Rick Jones
has some good papers at on his benchmark testing (primarily aimed at
authoritative servers, IIRC) at
<ftp://ftp.cup.hp.com/dist/networking/briefs/>. My own experiences
in testing both types of servers are detailed at
<http://www.shub-internet.org/brad/papers/dnscomparison/>.
