Network and subnet names

Are you talking about stuff like this:

% nslookup 129.186.1.0
Name:    network-129-186-1-0--24.iastate.edu
Address:  129.186.1.0

Personally, if it was up to me, I'd do something like:

    network-LOCATION.iastate.edu
