Hi,

When running BIND Version 9.2.3rc1 in a chroot environment on Solaris
9 and running the command:

 /dns/usr/local/sbin/rndc reload

I get the following errors in the /var/adm/messages file:

Sep 15 08:31:22 ns1 named[14060]: [ID 866145 daemon.error]
dns_master_load: out of memory
Sep 15 08:31:22 ns1 named[14060]: [ID 866145 daemon.error] could not
configure root hints from 'root.cache': out of memory
Sep 15 08:31:23 ns1 named[14060]: [ID 866145 daemon.error] reloading
configuration failed: out of memory

When I changed the datasize variable in named.conf from 20M to 21M and
re-ran rndc reload, I get the following error:

Sep 15 08:36:56 ns1 named[14060]: [ID 866145 daemon.warning] set
maximum data size to 22020096: permission denied
Sep 15 08:36:56 ns1 named[14060]: [ID 866145 daemon.error] could not
listen on UDP socket: permission denied

Any advice?

Thank you in advance.
