Upgrade to 2000 DNS or stay with Unix Bind (Coexistence) ?

It looks like a lot of BIND mailing list / comp.protocols.dns.bind is
being re-posted repeatedly.  Probably a "helpful" news-to-mail gateway
somewhere.  Possibly at newsfep2-win.server.ntli.net and UCSD?  This is
what was in the latest bounce, to which I am replying.
