Config the thirds as slave, the zones will come automatically.

repair your software.

any solution will probably rely in "secure channels", ssh is probably
the simplest and most generally available.

As i understand it you seem to have problems updating your named.conf.

If manual edit is to be avoided, perl and rsync might be handy components
to build your tools with.
