Bind Server Problem

Right. Which could be the result of any number of things. First stop is to look
at your logs.

Have you set up rndc? If not, that would explain why that rndc command doesn't
work. I don't know what you have in your /etc/rc.d/init.d script, so I can't
really comment on that...
