Are you upgrading from NT 4 or is this a new system? If you upgrade then
you need to remove BIND 4.9.5 first but save the data files. You will need
to convert named.boot to named.conf. There's a Perl script to do this
for you in the binary kits (named-bootconf.pl) which you should run. You
can run this on any machine that has a Perl interpreter. See the
named-bootconf.txt file for details). You should also read the DNS & BIND
book on how to manage BIND 8. There are also some specifics on
http://bind8nt.meiway.com/ for NT/2K systems. You also should go into
each zone file and add a $TTL statement at the beginning ($TTL 68400).
