While I'm not new to Bind, it has been a while. Here is what I'm running

    starting (D:\Bind\etc\named.conf).  named 8.2.4-REL-NT2 Mon May 28
11:03:05 2001
     mayer at tecotoo:src/port/winnt

This is on an NT4 SP6a system

Here are the errors I'm getting

master zone "mptelco.com" (IN) rejected due to errors (serial 8)
Zone "mptelco.com" (file db.mptelco): no NS RRs found at zone top
db.mptelco:16: Database error near ()
db.mptelco:14: Database error near ()
db.mptelco:12: data "ns1.sbcglobal.net" outside zone "mptelco.com" (ignored)
db.mptelco:10: Database error near ()
db.mptelco:7: Database error near ()
Zone "mptelco.com" (file db.mptelco): No default TTL ($TTL <value>) set,
using SOA minimum instead

here is the db file

@  IN  SOA  ns1.mptelco.com. hostmaster.mptelco.com.  (
  8  ;
  10800  ;
  3600  ;
  604800  ;

//

//

//
mptelco.com.   IN MX 0 mail.mptelco.com.
//

Any help would be appreciated.
