Need help with simple DNS setup

This name server isn't responding to queries from the Internet.

If "ps -ef | grep named" shows one or more tasks, and the
messages in /var/log/messages look good, suggest you look at
network connectivity issues, probably firewalling
(ipchains/iptables?). Started with "netstat -a" to see if it is
listening on the interfaces you expect.
