named fails

Urm sounds to me like it could be a syntax error in root.hints.
It definitely still says "type hint" for zone "." in named.conf
?

Post named.conf for more help. "root.hints" can be recreated
(without the comments) from a working name server "dig
@ipaddress . ns >root.hints"
