Please tell me what I am doing wrong with my DNS settings

You haven't run named-checkzone, have you? What the heck are you
trying to do anyway?
Also I am sure it'd help if you'd use a real e-mail address, and
perhaps even a name.
A quick look reveals several problems: you most likely don't own
mydomain.com; you lack the RRtype and rdata for root.mydomain.com. and
mydomain.com.; 1.1.1.1 is not globally routable (reserved by the
IANA), and there are no records for mail.hartconstructioninc.com.
(actually it seems to be a delegation loop - I was thrown back and
forth between the gTLD and Granite Canyon's name servers).
Try sorting those problems out first.
