Bind-9.2.0 - RH7.1 build

KJ thanks for the response.

I don't understand the ./configure script thats runs - but it must have
changed between rc10 and this version.

We had been using ./configure --prefix=/usr to build previous versions of
bind successfully on a RH7.1 system. Based on your input to get this build
to find the named.conf we now need to specify

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc

named now correctly looks to /etc/named.conf.

The next new error we get when executing named is: couldn't open pid file
'/usr/var/run/named.pid': No such file or directory. My guess is that the
.pid file should be in /var/run/named.pid so our ./configure command now
looks like:

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstateddir=/var

Thanks for you help!!
