Getting "default for the 'auth-nxdomain' option is now no" message

First of all, it's not an error, it's an informational message. It
simply informs you that the default for the auth-nxdomain (authorative
query responses with NXDOMAIN status, if I don't recall wrong) is now
no instead of yes.

If you don't want it, add "auth-nxdomain no;" to your named.conf under
options{}. If you want the BIND 8 behavior, add "auth-nxdomain yes;".
