Differences between 8.x and 9.x

Is this a typical response from a typical member of this list?

I actually spent a good 30 minutes looking around the ISC site, reading the
FAQ and looking for any mention of what I was looking for..... and if you
would like to read it... surprise... no mention of the differences... I
actually thought it would be something that would be a common question....
perhaps frequently asked?  It is only at the last resort did I join the
mailing list...

I am also aware of the config changes between 4.x and 8.x.... my question...
which also happened to not covered in the FAQ is... is their any difference
between 8.x and 9.x configs...

Also... thank you Michael for answering the simple question... I shall go
ahead and test the waters.
