If you have no strangers in your zone files, no errors in your
configuration and specify the TTL in all zones (I'd suggest with a
$TTL directive at the top of the zone file), just installing on top of
your old BIND 8 installation and restarting should do. You might want
to keep your old source code tree (with binaries built) in case
something goes way wrong - I always do this when I upgrade software.
"Just in case".

Also read doc/misc/migration as it points out a few possible
tripfalls.
