Installing BIND 9's MAN pages

Consult the archives or the archives of bind9-users. The subject has
been explained several times. The BIND man pages use the man macros
(mandoc) that come with BSD Unix and groff. These are not found on
Solaris. So to get prettily formatted man pages on this platform,
format them with the mandoc macros. The least painful way to do that
is install groff which uses them automatically. Or try

	nroff pathname-of-groff-mandoc-file favourite-man-page

A future BIND9 release will install man pages cleanly and might well
not use the mandoc macros.
