bind 8 help

hi all

i have just upgraded from bind 4.x to 8.2  by the provided script
{named-bootconf}  when i tried to test it with nslookup it did resolved the
names but gave non-authorative answers i tried to list the zone contents
with ls <  zone >  it failed . i tried to check the satus of bind and it
said that the server is not loading its configuration .

any help will be greatly appreciated ,
