greetings,
Im stuck at a cross road in my current project. I am switching ISP's.
I am hosting primary DNS for a batch of IP addresses that I will need
to give back to my old ISP. This requires me to re-configure my DNS
server.
Simple enough,..replace the old with the new right?
well,.here is where I get muddy. I will still have service through my
old ISP until I can get all of my old addresses physically switched
to the new block(s).
So i may still need to run DNS for these old addresses AND for the
new addresses.
ok,..insert the new and don't remove the old right?
But what do I do about the naming convention. Where the new addresses
take the place of the old, the name stays the same. should I have
multiple names per IP?
@@spinning wheels@@
I would like to hear your comments
thanks
