I'm not sure if this is relevant but I am running BIND 8.2.4-REL-NT2
on a Windows 2000 server against several BIND 9.1.2 masters (haven't
had time to upgrade to 9.1.3 yet, will do that today) - no problems at
all. Of course, my zones are only a dozen RRs or so in size and I
don't have very many zones either, which I'd suppose makes the problem
less obvious if it exists - but I am having no difficulties with this.

Just my two cents.
