What if there is a critical system failure and the machine has to be
rebooted? If it does that automatically, you won't even know until
it's too late. If it doesn't, you can have your service cut for a long
time before anyone notices.

I understand your problem as that you have a stealth master, and
slaves pulling zone data off of that one. Only that this stealth
master seems to be a publicly accessible and used machine. Just let me
ask - you mentioned NIC-DE a few posts back. That would seem to imply
to me that you are up to running the .de zone/ccTLD. Then why do you
need 55,000 zones??

I just don't understand the issue here... nor do I think many others
do.
