Makeing BIND822

I am trying to 'make' BIND822 on an HP/UX 11.0 machine...I am following the
INSTALL instruction that directs me to 'make clean', 'make depend', 'make
all', 'rm .settings' and then do 'make install'...I am getting errors, the
first one states that it doesn't know he to make ./lib/libbind.a...from
there the process errors out 'unexpected symbol: 'char' for each step...I
ahve also downloaded and installedd GCC. That went on without incident as I
used swinstall...what am I doing wrong, pls help...thanks in advance...Jerry
