Those error messages imply a problem in the zone data, and should therefore
have nothing to do with what interface was used for the transfer. I note that
the errors are being logged for multiple addresses.

Are you perchance running an old (e.g. BIND 4) master and new (e.g. BIND 8 or
9) slave? Older BIND versions were more permissive about things like "CNAME and
other data". You should really review your master zone data to see if you
actually have an illegal "CNAME and other data" problem. If a name owns a CNAME
record, it should own no other records (with the theoretical exception of
certain DNSSEC-related record types which probably aren't relevant in your
case). If you have "CNAME and other data", fix it and then your zone transfers
should work.
