ndc reload/restart BIND8.23 doesnt work!

hi there!

I just installed Bind8.23 and i cant get to reload or restart the
services, ndc restart creates another named process, and get stuck,
otherwise it is resolving and working properly.

The logfile gives the follow error message:
named[26679]: unix control "/usr/local/etc/ndc.d/ndc" not socket
named[26679]: ctl_server: bind: /usr/local/etc/ndc.d/nd: Address already
in use
named[26680]: Ready to answer queries.

I would appreciate any sugestion
