set-up a dns server on LAN

If you're trying to conserve bandwidth, you might want to look at the
"dialup" and "heartbeat-interval" options.

Also, what zone are you slaving? I assume this is something that you use
often. Also, hopefully this zone isn't large and/or it doesn't change very
often, otherwise you may find that you're consuming more bandwidth in
replication overhead than you are saving by being a slave.
