More backround: Interesting problem.

Clue: When I do a query of type "any" for dossmarketing.com, the root
name servers all correctly point to the gtld name servers. All the gtld
name servers correctly point to the Verio name servers. However they also
return an "A" record for the old 207.53.161.99 IP address. Very strange.

Clue: A query to whois.internic.net turns up two records for
dossmarketing.com:

   Server Name: DOSSMARKETING.COM
   IP Address: 207.53.161.99
   Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
   Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
   Referral URL: www.networksolutions.com

   Domain Name: DOSSMARKETING.COM
   Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
   Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
   Referral URL: www.networksolutions.com
   Name Server: S.NS.VERIO.NET
   Name Server: A.NS.VERIO.NET
   Updated Date: 25-mar-2001

That first record is for a name server called "dossmarketing.com" at the
old 207.53.161.99 address. A query to whois.networksolutions.com confirms
that. There's your problem. NSI still has a host record for a name
server called "dossmarketing.com" at 207.53.161.99. My bet is that if you
can get NSI to delete that record, and once the record is purged from
the gtld servers, the problem will go away.

Now I need to figure out why even after clearing cache on all three of my
own name servers, two of them consistantly return this:

  dossmarketing.com A 167794 207.53.161.99

While my third name server consistantly returns this:

  dossmarketing.com A 81994 204.203.53.197
