how do i start name server?

Look on page 279. Part of nslookup's suckiness is that it aborts if
there is no PTR record for the address(es) of the nameserver(s) it is
trying to use. Set up the reverse resolution, or use a real lookup tool
like "dig", which omits this "feature".
