I wish people wouldn't would use "dump" to mean "destroy".
What you need to do is set "host-statistics yes" and then *dump* (not
destroy) the cache when the problem occurs. In the dump, you'll see the
source of that bad data.
WARNING: host-statistics can use up a lot of memory.
