Actually, you were telling me. Anyway it is fixed by:
1007. [bug] only set STREAM_AXFRIXFR if the original query is
an IXFR.
I got around to performing a byte by byte comparision of the
answer streams from 8.2.2-P5 and 8.2.3-T5B.

Well notifies were broken with all platforms. Notifies are fixed
in 8.2.3-T8B.

Not really if you perform some lateral thinking.
e.g.
drugs:kk {1462} % grep named /etc/rc.conf
named_enable="YES"
named_program="/usr/local/sbin/named"
named_flags=""
drugs:kk {1463} %
/usr/local/sbin/named is a BIND 9 version at the moment, but could
just as easily be BIND 8 version.
