Odd problem after reboot

Hi - we had a total power failure over the weekend. Everything seems to
be back up except for bind! Grrr. It's acting funny:

- The server itself is resolving ok. Doing nslookups on the machine run
just fine. Can get out from the machine to anywhere I want.

- BUT, when I issue a "server" command within nslookup I get the
following error:
> server dnsmmachinename
*** Can't find address for server dnsmachinename: No response from
server

- named is running, and doesn't give any errors when it starts up.

- BUT, I get the following error when I run ndc - status:
number of zones allocated: 64
debug level: 0
xfers running: 0
xfers deferred: 0
soa queries in progress: 0
query logging is OFF
server is DONE priming
Server IS NOT loading its configuration

named.conf is where it should be (and always was) and has not changed.
Actually nothing else has changed either as far as I can tell.

This is on a RedHat 6.1 machine running bind 8.2.2-P5. Any
suggestions????

Thanks.
