version.bind. times out with NT 82.2.p5 ?

... works fine for querying 8.1.2 and 8.2.2p5 on FreeBSD, but times out 
when querying NT with 8.2.2 p5.  That NT BIND works fine in all other respects.

Anybody else have that experience?
