Cable Modem NIC causes DNS problem........ N E Ideas

Greetings,
   Be aware that (at least with Linux) the NIC card with the lowest IRQ
will become eth0 and the higher IRQ will become eth1.  Be sure you are not
assuming that simply adding a 2nd NIC that your 1st NIC will neccessarily
stay at the same assignment.  Check ifconfig, netstat -i, etc. and be sure
you don't have some dynamic reassignments going on.  Could be you're just
seeing a hardware thang and not anything to do with DNS.
