"NOTIFY for non-secondary name" HELP?

Do any of you have experience with stub zones with bind 8.  I
created a stub zone for this guy here, wolf.synack.org, with myself
as secondary.  I get this though:

Sep  3 18:45:53 academic named[17819]: rcvd NOTIFY(wolf.synack.org,
IN, SOA) from [148.100.211.170].1028
Sep  3 18:45:53 academic named[17819]: NOTIFY for non-secondary name
(wolf.synack.org), from [148.100.211.170].1028

I cant tell if this is a problem on my end or his.  any suggestions?
