use dig! Re: check version

Hi stephan.  if you have dig, you can use the following:

  dig txt chaos version.bind. @servername

it will return something like:
  ;; ANSWER SECTION:
  VERSION.BIND.           0S CHAOS TXT    "4.9.7-REL"
