Connection bewteen Internet down and in.named death

Hi
We're running BIND 4.9.4 in Solaris 2.9. Today we've had several times the 
Internet server down and I've noticed that the in.named die too. After 
restarting it while the Internet down it was up some minutes and then he 
die. Is there any connection between the state of the Internet and the death 
of the DNS server?
If this is not related, someone have any idea of why this is  happening?
