Can't Access Public DNS

I have designated Publc DNS as secondary for my domain, and I have a
NT4 Server running Bind/NT 4.9.5.  serving as primary.

Sometimes I've been able to reach the Public DNS Home Page:
soa.granitecanyon.com. But it seems like anytime I make a change to
the config files of the primary all I get is "Page Cannot Be
Displayed".

Now, there are some inconsistancies in my configuration, for instance
InterNic has my ISP's name server listed as secondary, and until
yesterday the primary's config files listed its own name, followed by
public DNS server ns2.granitecanyon.com.

As of now the primary's config files list its own name, followed by my
ISP's primary name server - proxy1.frmt1.sfba.home.com.

Name resolution seems to be working, as I've tried the below using
several different name servers, from both home and work and all
returned exactly the same results.

What's going on here?  Am I doing something wrong, or have I just got
a flakey host between me and Public DNS? Is there something that I'm
doing that is confusing pcisys-gw.customer.ALTER.NET, that the other
hosts are tolerating? Am I being routed down a wrong path? If so how
do I fix that?
