DNS and Virtual Interfaces

You really don't need to do  this unless, of course, you want to and you
did.  What I mean is, it doesn't matter where you set up forward and
reverse resolution, your virtual interface will work.

The question is a bit unclear.  What is your primary DNS server that you
use and does it have the updated information?  Did you update the serial
number on the DNS server and then, if you're still using 4.9.X, did you
force a reload from the secondary server?  Did you check the syslog
messages to see if you had a syntax error and named didn't load the new
information because of that?  Catch my drift?
