The underscore character was never legal in host names. Older versions
of BIND allowed all sorts of characters in host names, but this has been
tightened up to disallow certain security exploits. [This may itself
violate certain RFCs. ;-}] There IS an option to decrease the severity
of local use of underscores from an "error" to a "warning". But if you
do this, you run the risk of being refused by another server who has
raised the severity of remote uses of underscores from a "warning" to an
"error", so that your zone or part of it would be rejected.
