Okay, maybe we're getting somewhere.

the two domains in question are served by the same two DNS servers:

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
blackberry.net. 600 IN NS xns01ykf.rim.net.
blackberry.net. 600 IN NS xns01lhr.rim.net.

;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
xns01lhr.rim.net. 159 IN A 193.109.81.21
xns01ykf.rim.net. 160 IN A 206.51.26.10

One of the RIM servers (xns01lhr.rim.net) appears to be down from here
as well, so that could be what caused you to have a problem suddenly.

You probably want to look at the network path between your NS2 server
and the xns01lhr.rim.net (206.51.26.10) server.

Going out on a limb here, but what's the netmask on your NS2 server?
