DHCP names not resolving locally on DNS/DHCP server

Hi,

I feel pretty stupid here, but:

I have a DNS/DHCP server that resolves DHCP addresses for the DHCP
clients on my network, however, the server itself doesn't resolve the
DHCP addresses.

Can anyone let me know what I need to do to get the server to resolve?
 I have updated the resolv.conf file with localhost, but to no avail.
