Hi, we have a rather large dns environment running Bind 9. Our desktop users
are using Win2k prof. The default is to try to register this connections
address in dns. We do not allow that on our Bind 9 servers. What's happening
is that these requests are filling up our logs. Short of changing our desktop
machines, is there any way to stop this logging in named.conf? Here is a sample
of what's in the log file....

Mar 28 15:15:12 dnsserver-internal in.named[7072]: client 10.112.16.75#3569:
update denied

Thanks,

Larry
